About the Role

True Fit Corporation seeks a Software QA and Release Manager to lead a talented group of QA professionals and drive quality initiatives across the True Fit platform. The ideal candidate will be very proficient in software quality assurance processes, tools, and techniques in addition to proven experience leading a QA team. 

Responsibilities

  • Own Software Quality.  You will guide the organization and own quality across the platform.  You will be the the point of contact for the QA team's critical role accross all product areas.
  • Own the Delivery Process.  Your responsibility will be to coordinate the delivery of software releases.  You will work closely with Engineering team loads and other stakeholders to ensure an orderly promotion of software from development through production.
  • Coordinate test strategy, planning, and execution; ensuring adequate staffing to support the QA efforts. 
  • Design Processes. Design and implement testing and delivery processes that match our fast paced timelines.  
  • Lead a Team. Recruit, hire, train and grow a world class team.  Coach and manage a team of all skill levels in product workflows, critical thinking, problem solving and best practices.  
  • Build reports, tools, and partnerships that enhance visibility into working aspects of the QA process and quality of product.
  • Wear Many Hats. You'll provide leadership but don't hesitate to get in the weeds.
  • Work with others. You will work with product managers, engineering leads, and operations experts.  You will collaborate with on-site, remote, and offshore teammates.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 6+ years as a QA engineer with progressive levels of responsibility, including 2 in a manager or lead role.
  • Commercial software: Significant experience testing and releasing commercial software products
  • Manual and automation skills are critical.  You are highly skilled at both. 
  • You should be comfortable with various approaches to testing web applications, APIs, and data services.
  • Process oriented. Demonstrated ability to create and drive process improvements that result in improved test coverage, efficiency, and visibility.
  • Expert test plan designer and author.
  • Java skills preferred, Python and scripting languages helpful.  
  • Solid familiarity with Git and merge/branch strategies.
  • Significant experience working in CI/CD environments.
  • Systems Analysis: Ability to analyze complex data and present results to business users; report building and data visualization skills a plus.
  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering) is required.
  • Motivated: You love this stuff, are a self-starter with a can do attitude.
  • Soft skills: You have strong listening and communications skills, and an ability to drive solutions independently.
